Your ticket to Italy, Germany, Austria and the English-speaking world.

I am a professional conference interpreter and translator from Italy, now based in London.
I have a Master's degree in Conference Interpreting and a Bachelor's degree in Intercultural and Linguistic Mediation, both from the University of Bologna (DIT Forlì). I also have a Master's in Global Marketing, Communication & Made in Italy - Tourism Special Edition from Centro Studi Comunicare l'Impresa and Fondazione Italia USA.

My working languages are Italian, English and German. I lived and worked in Hamburg (Germany) for two months and I spent my Erasmus year abroad in Coventry at the University of Warwick. Since the end of 2020, I have been living in London.

I specialise in Travel & Tourism, Marine Conservation, Art and Culture and Marketing.
I love travelling and reading, and am passionate about marine life, art history, Harry Potter...and of course, learning languages!
My career
My experience at the Tourist Information Office
In 2013, I started working at the Tourist Information Office of my home town Cesena as part of an internship during secondary school. Since then, I worked there on-call regularly until July 2020, including as a tour guide and interpreter for English and German-speaking tourists in 2015. Additionally, I worked in the tourist office for a small village nearby, Longiano. These were my first steps into the world of travel and tourism.

My time in Germany
In the summer between my second and third year of university I lived in Germany for two months while working as an au pair. I fell in love with Hamburg, using this as a base for solo daytrips to nearby cities such as Lübeck and Schwerin. I also have fond memories of family holidays in Ahrenshoop, on the Baltic Sea. These experiences allowed me to deepen my understanding of German culture and helped me improve my German language skills.
My Erasmus year in England
I spent my year abroad (2016-2017) in England at the University of Warwick, which gave me the chance to learn more about the country and its culture and to improve my language skills. I made life-long friends and travelled around the UK. It was the most amazing year of my life, driving my decision to move here permanently in November 2020.

Bachelor's Degree in Intercultural and Linguistic Mediation
(Università di Bologna)
In October 2017, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Intercultural and Linguistic Mediation at the University of Bologna. I completed my dissertation on the role of interpreters in the field of tourism and analysed the interpreting session of a guided tour from Italian into English and German.
Volunteering at Fondazione Cetacea onlus
In 2018 I started volunteering for Fondazione Cetacea onlus, a charity based in Riccione (Italy) whose mission is to save vulnerable sea turtles, help them recover and release them back into the wild, while raising awareness about marine conservation. Since then, I have taken part in turtle releases, helped out with guided tours of the turtle hospital, supported fundraising, translated educational material and press releases into English and performed whispered interpreting during video calls for EU projects.

Master's degree in Conference Interpreting and coronavirus pandemic
In 2020, when the pandemic hit, I was one of the first students from the University of Bologna to graduate online after months of preparation, while still thinking lockdown would only last two weeks. After my graduation, I had planned to work as a tour guide in Norway for six months, but unfortunately that was not possible. Instead, I completed several online courses (including a digital marketing course) and worked as a translator and content writer for the German start-up Backpacker Trail for three months.
Tourist Advisor Certificate and Second Master's
I was awarded the Tourist Advisor Certificate by Fondazione Italia USA during a ceremony at the Italian Chamber of Deputies in Rome. I later completed the Master's in Global Marketing, Communication & Made in Italy - Tourism Special Edition from Centro Studi Communicare l'lmpresa and Fondazione Italia USA. The Master's programme was offered to me and other students on a scholarship basis, due to our achievements in the Bachelor's.

Life in London
I moved to London in November 2020 to work as a Multilingual Customer Care Advisor for Tiffany & Co., where I gained valuable experience in the field of jewellery. I am now working as Transcreation Manager for OLIVER Agency and freelancing as an interpreter and translator. I am in love with the city and culture and feel incredibly lucky to be able to experience everyday life in such a vibrant melting pot.
Continuous Professional Development
Interpreters and translators have to keep up to date with current affairs, general news - even celebrity gossip! But the list doesn't end there. They have to read and learn new things about their fields of specialisation every day. With travel and tourism being my main focus, I have been fortunate enough to travel to all sorts of different destinations, each time reading numerous travel and history books to prepare for my trips. If you want to see pictures and videos of my past travels, or discover where I am going next, follow me on Instagram!

Travel Coordinator for WeRoad
I am now part of the WeRoad team of Travel Coordinators and Event Organisers. Looking forward to coordinating my first trip!
